The Denver Nuggets are trading Michael Porter Jr. and an unprotected 2032 first-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for forward Cameron Johnson, sources told ESPN.

While both players have two years remaining on their contracts, the Nuggets are able to get off Porter’s contract, which has $38.3 million due this coming season and $40.8 million in 2026-27. Johnson will make $21 million this coming season and $23 million the following campaign.

Free agent point guard D’Angelo Russell has agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The Mavs will use the $5.7 million taxpayer midlevel exception to sign Russell, a one-time All-Star who averaged 12.6 points and 5.1 assists per game for the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets last season.

 

Free agent center Brook Lopez has agreed to a two-year, $18-million deal with the LA Clippers, sources tell ESPN.

Lopez was a player of interest for teams entering free agency and will join the Clippers to bolster a front line that already includes emerging starting center Ivica Zubac.

 

Free agent center Kevon Looney, a three-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Monday.

Looney, 29, has spent his 10-year career with the Warriors, who selected him with the 30th pick out of UCLA in the 2015 NBA draft.
