The Browns got some help on Sunday before they even started playing the Miami Dolphins.

The New York Giants — the holders of the No. 1 overall pick coming into Week 17 at 2-13 — managed to beat the Indianapolis Colts. Then there was a game between two teams with the same awful 3-12 record as the Browns playing each other. In that one, the Jacksonville Jaguars held on to beat the Tennessee Titans.
This might be the best news the Browns have gotten all season. That all comes in combination with a 20-3 loss to the Dolphins this afternoon.
The Browns came into Week 17 with the No. 5 pick in the draft. They exit Week 17 with the No. 3 pick and a chance to move up to No. 1 overall.
